Our client has a requirement for a Construction Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Northwich.
Role Purpose:
To oversee and manage onshore construction activities on a live site, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of multi-disciplinary work scopes. The role is critical to maintaining construction standards and site safety within a chemical process environment.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Act as Principal Contractor under CDM regulations.
- Lead on-site construction activities across mechanical, civil, and EC&I disciplines.
- Coordinate with design teams and manage subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and client requirements.
- Support package procurement and manage interfaces with stakeholders.
- Oversee quality assurance, schedule adherence, and cost control.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Strong UK onshore construction management experience within Chemical, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical sectors (essential).
- Mechanical bias; experience with EC&I is highly desirable.
- Proven track record managing multi-discipline teams and working in Principal Contractor capacity.
- Valid CCNSG or CSCS card.
- Ideally SMSTS and/or NEBOSH qualified.
- Strong capability in subcontractor oversight, design development, HSE compliance, and stakeholder management.
