Our client has a requirement for a Construction Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Northwich.

Role Purpose:

To oversee and manage onshore construction activities on a live site, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of multi-disciplinary work scopes. The role is critical to maintaining construction standards and site safety within a chemical process environment.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as Principal Contractor under CDM regulations.
  • Lead on-site construction activities across mechanical, civil, and EC&I disciplines.
  • Coordinate with design teams and manage subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and client requirements.
  • Support package procurement and manage interfaces with stakeholders.
  • Oversee quality assurance, schedule adherence, and cost control.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Strong UK onshore construction management experience within Chemical, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical sectors (essential).
  • Mechanical bias; experience with EC&I is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record managing multi-discipline teams and working in Principal Contractor capacity.
  • Valid CCNSG or CSCS card.
  • Ideally SMSTS and/or NEBOSH qualified.
  • Strong capability in subcontractor oversight, design development, HSE compliance, and stakeholder management.
